Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figura Constructiva by Gonzalo Fonseca was sold in the Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,711.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figura Constructiva von Gonzalo Fonseca wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.711,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
