Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nymph des Bois by Glenn Brown was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 138,600.00 (€ 164,325.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tragic Conversion Of Salvador Dalí (After John Martin) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,430,479.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nymph des Bois von Glenn Brown kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 138.600,00 (€ 164.325,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glenn Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tragic Conversion Of Salvador Dalí (After John Martin) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.193.250,00 (€ 6.430.479,91).
