Auction result well in line with expectations
The work One Plate (after Del Sarto/Greuze), from: Bring on the Dancing Horses by Glenn Brown was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,276.00 (€ 3,884.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tragic Conversion Of Salvador Dalí (After John Martin) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,430,479.91).
