Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gladys Nilsson could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open/ NYC auction, the work Hairdresser's Surprise changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,667.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gladys Nilsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gladys Nilsson konnte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open/ NYC wechselte die Arbeit Hairdresser's Surprise für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.667,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
