Sold at the upper estimate price
In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (#86) by Giorgio Cavallon. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 35,253.47), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giorgio Cavallon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunday Morning, which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 137,500.00 (€ 118,310.10).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (#86) von Giorgio Cavallon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 35.253,47) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Cavallon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunday Morning beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 137.500,00 (€ 118.310,10) versteigert wurde.
