Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gifford Beal could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Little Park changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,798.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gifford Beal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gifford Beal konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Little Park für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.798,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gifford Beal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish Houses, Winter Day im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.788,39).
