In October 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work Still Life Of Petunias by Gifford Beal. The result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,471.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gifford Beal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Petunias von Gifford Beal zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.471,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gifford Beal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fish Houses, Winter Day im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.788,39).
