The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,053.76), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gifford Beal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 15.053,76) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gifford Beal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish Houses, Winter Day im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.788,39).
