The work Reception At The Century Club by Gifford Beal was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,053.76), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gifford Beal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).

Die Arbeit Reception At The Century Club von Gifford Beal wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 15.053,76) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gifford Beal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish Houses, Winter Day im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.788,39).
