In the American Art Online auction, the work Pigeon Cove: A Double-Sided Work sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,820.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gifford Beal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).
