Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figura intera eretta e velata sul capo by Giacomo Manzù was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,676.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Manzù achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figura intera eretta e velata sul capo von Giacomo Manzù kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.676,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
