Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Gerwald Rockenschaub was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in April 2007. The price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,906.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerwald Rockenschaub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gerwald Rockenschaub wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.906,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerwald Rockenschaub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
