Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerwald Rockenschaub could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for EUR 3,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerwald Rockenschaub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerwald Rockenschaub konnte im November 2019 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 3.500,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerwald Rockenschaub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
