Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Gerwald Rockenschaub. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,875.00. Admittedly, works by Gerwald Rockenschaub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gerwald Rockenschaub zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerwald Rockenschaub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
