This artwork by Gerwald Rockenschaub achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2019. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work each: Untitled sold for EUR 4,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerwald Rockenschaub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerwald Rockenschaub erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit each: Untitled für EUR 4.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerwald Rockenschaub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
