This artwork by Gerwald Rockenschaub achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in July this year. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work without title sold for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,704.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerwald Rockenschaub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerwald Rockenschaub erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.704,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerwald Rockenschaub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
