Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Gerwald Rockenschaub was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 4,246.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Gerwald Rockenschaub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gerwald Rockenschaub wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 4.246,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerwald Rockenschaub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
