This artwork by Georges Barbier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2021. In the Impressionist & Modern Art | London Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction, the work Femme, Faon Et Arbre Rouge sold for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,072.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Barbier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ida Rubinstein and Vaslav Nijinsky in Scheherazade in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 119,640.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Barbier erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art | London Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso wurde die Arbeit Femme, Faon Et Arbre Rouge für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.072,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Barbier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ida Rubinstein and Vaslav Nijinsky in Scheherazade im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 119.640,25).
