In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Nijinsky in Narcisse (illustrated); and Karsavina in La tragédie de Salomé by Georges Barbier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,215.61), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Barbier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ida Rubinstein and Vaslav Nijinsky in Scheherazade in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 119,640.25).
