It achieved a price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,308.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by George Shaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Undergrowth in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 79,875.00 (€ 93,228.43).

Die Arbeit Scenes from the Passion: Sunday Morning von George Shaw kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.308,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Shaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Undergrowth im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.875,00 (€ 93.228,43).
