Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scenes From The Passion: Sunday Evening by George Shaw was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,777.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by George Shaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Undergrowth in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 79,875.00 (€ 93,228.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scenes From The Passion: Sunday Evening von George Shaw kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.777,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Shaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Undergrowth im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.875,00 (€ 93.228,43).
