Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Love Triangle by George Rouy was auctioned at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 25,400.00 (€ 29,166.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Rouy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Looking At Me Through Gaps Of Her Toes in March this year with an auction result of GBP 162,540.00 (€ 184,920.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Love Triangle von George Rouy kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.400,00 (€ 29.166,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Rouy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Looking At Me Through Gaps Of Her Toes im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.540,00 (€ 184.920,65).
