Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (i) Horse Hand(ii) Would You Love Me Like This by George Rouy was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in Paris in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,174.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Rouy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Looking At Me Through Gaps Of Her Toes in March this year with an auction result of GBP 162,540.00 (€ 184,920.65).

Die Arbeit (i) Horse Hand(ii) Would You Love Me Like This von George Rouy wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.174,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Rouy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Looking At Me Through Gaps Of Her Toes im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.540,00 (€ 184.920,65).
