The work "Trestle" Dining Table by George Nakashima was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2015. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,203.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Nakashima - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exceptional free-form “Minguren I” coffee table, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 86,500.00 (€ 69,932.90).

Die Arbeit "Trestle" Dining Table von George Nakashima kam im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.203,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von George Nakashima mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Exceptional free-form “Minguren I” coffee table beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 86.500,00 (€ 69.932,90) versteigert wurde.
