Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maqueta Para Nubes (Red Ambiental) by Gego was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 413,318.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Gego have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Dibujo sin papel 85/13 was auctioned for USD 701,000.00 (€ 637,620.52).

Die Arbeit Maqueta Para Nubes (Red Ambiental) von Gego wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 413.318,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Gego konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Dibujo sin papel 85/13 für USD 701.000,00 (€ 637.620,52) versteigert.
