Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caligula (Resonances) by Gardar Eide Einarsson was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,587.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gardar Eide Einarsson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Caligula (Resonances) von Gardar Eide Einarsson wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.587,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gardar Eide Einarsson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97) versteigert wurde.
