The work Getting warm (#9 1984) by Frederick Hammersley was sold in the First Open | Online auction at Christies in New York in December 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,814.20), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Hammersley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ego I Go, #15 1975, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 65,895.00 (€ 67,356.64).

Die Arbeit Getting warm (#9 1984) von Frederick Hammersley wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion First Open | Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.814,20) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Hammersley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ego I Go, #15 1975 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 65.895,00 (€ 67.356,64) versteigert wurde.
