It changed hands for a price of GBP 298.75 (€ 429.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Buck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
