The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,088.00 (€ 996.34), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Tomaselli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Organism in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 735,650.00 (€ 914,651.73).

Die Arbeit 16 x 14 To a Higher Power von Fred Tomaselli wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 996,34) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Tomaselli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Organism im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 735.650,00 (€ 914.651,73).
