Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The old hunter; and A portrait of a man, half-length, in a green coat by Franz Xavier Wölfle. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,143.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Xavier Wölfle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Tyrolean gentleman smoking a pipe; and Another of a Tyrolean gentleman with a feather in his hat, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,714.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The old hunter; and A portrait of a man, half-length, in a green coat von Franz Xavier Wölfle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.143,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Xavier Wölfle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Tyrolean gentleman smoking a pipe; and Another of a Tyrolean gentleman with a feather in his hat beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.714,79) versteigert wurde.
