Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work An old man smoking a pipe wearing a red neckerchief by Franz Xavier Wölfle for USD 420.00 (€ 340.63). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Xavier Wölfle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Tyrolean gentleman smoking a pipe; and Another of a Tyrolean gentleman with a feather in his hat in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,714.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An old man smoking a pipe wearing a red neckerchief von Franz Xavier Wölfle für USD 420,00 (€ 340,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Xavier Wölfle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Tyrolean gentleman smoking a pipe; and Another of a Tyrolean gentleman with a feather in his hat im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.714,79).
