Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Gehry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2019. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Fish Lamp sold for USD 75,000.00 (€ 65,910.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Gehry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fish Lamp, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 239,400.00 (€ 212,102.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Gehry erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Fish Lamp für USD 75.000,00 (€ 65.910,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Gehry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fish Lamp beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 239.400,00 (€ 212.102,42) versteigert wurde.
