Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vii by Frank Lobdell was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,654.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Lobdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Edge II in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 196,238.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vii von Frank Lobdell kam im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.654,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Lobdell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Edge II im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 196.238,76).
