In December 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Property from the Collection of Harry W. and Mary Margaret Anderson Online, which included the work Untitled, 1971 by Frank Lobdell. The auction ended at the price of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,745.81), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Lobdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Edge II in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 196,238.76).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Property from the Collection of Harry W. and Mary Margaret Anderson Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 1971 von Frank Lobdell zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.745,81) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Lobdell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Edge II im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 196.238,76).
