Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1975 by Frank Lobdell was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,636.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Lobdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Edge II in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 196,238.76).

Die Arbeit Untitled, 1975 von Frank Lobdell kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.636,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Lobdell erzielen.
