Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francisco Sobrino could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work 02M changed hands for GBP 938.00 (€ 1,322.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Sobrino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Permutationelle M in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,068.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francisco Sobrino konnte im Juni 2015 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit 02M für GBP 938,00 (€ 1.322,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Sobrino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Permutationelle M im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.068,27).
