Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled, from Kinetic Portfolio: Asis; Cruz-Diez; Demarco; Sempere; Sobrino by Francisco Sobrino was sold in the Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2021. It achieved a price of USD 956.25 (€ 790.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Sobrino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Permutationelle M in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,068.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled, from Kinetic Portfolio: Asis; Cruz-Diez; Demarco; Sempere; Sobrino von Francisco Sobrino wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 956,25 (€ 790,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Sobrino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Permutationelle M im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.068,27).
