Auction result well in line with expectations
The work F.G. by Francisco Sobrino was sold in the Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,891.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Sobrino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Permutationelle M in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,068.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit F.G. von Francisco Sobrino wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.891,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Sobrino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Permutationelle M im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.068,27).
