This work without title by Forrest Bess was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2013. It achieved a price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,121.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Forrest Bess; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled No. 6 sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of USD 112,900.00 (€ 83,921.80).
