The work 2005L01 by Feng Mengbo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2009. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,338.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Feng Mengbo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Streetfighter II in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,133.81).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit 2005L01 von Feng Mengbo kam im November 2009 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.338,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Feng Mengbo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Streetfighter II im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 101.133,81).
