Despite a disappointment, a good price for Feng Mengbo
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Streetfighter II by Feng Mengbo for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,133.81). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Streetfighter II is the most expensive artwork by Feng Mengbo that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Feng Mengbo
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Streetfighter II von Feng Mengbo für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 101.133,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Streetfighter II das teuerste Kunstwerk von Feng Mengbo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
