Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Evan Penny could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Female Anamorph #2 changed hands for USD 139,000.00 (€ 89,331.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 140,000.00 – 180,000.00. Other works by Evan Penny have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2008 by the work L. Faux: Black & White at USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,187.66).
