Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Boys fishing in a wooded river landscape by Etty Horton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 191.20 (€ 286.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etty Horton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A horseman by a pond in a wooded landscape; and A horse and cart by a cottage in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,072.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home - British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boys fishing in a wooded river landscape von Etty Horton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 191,20 (€ 286,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etty Horton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A horseman by a pond in a wooded landscape; and A horse and cart by a cottage im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.072,79).
