This artwork by Etty Horton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Cattle watering in a river; and A woman walking beside a quiet stretch of river sold for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,493.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Etty Horton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A horseman by a pond in a wooded landscape; and A horse and cart by a cottage, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,072.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Etty Horton erzielte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wurde die Arbeit Cattle watering in a river; and A woman walking beside a quiet stretch of river für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.493,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Etty Horton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A horseman by a pond in a wooded landscape; and A horse and cart by a cottage beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.072,79) versteigert wurde.
