Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Etel Adnan. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 88,200.00 (€ 80,858.09). Admittedly, works by Etel Adnan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Etel Adnan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 88.200,00 (€ 80.858,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etel Adnan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
