Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work L'Express Beyrouth-Enfer (Beirut-Hell Express) by Etel Adnan was worth GBP 6,985.00 (€ 11,690.50) to a buyer in January 2024. This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etel Adnan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit L'Express Beyrouth-Enfer (Beirut-Hell Express) von Etel Adnan war einem Käufer im Januar 2024 GBP 6.985,00 (€ 11.690,50) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etel Adnan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
