Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Al-Tayyeb Salih, Daw al-Bayt by Etel Adnan was auctioned at Christies in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,402.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Etel Adnan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Al-Tayyeb Salih, Daw al-Bayt von Etel Adnan kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.402,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etel Adnan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
