Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ernesto Neto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March last year. In the New Now auction, the work TorçoQuadro Brown sold for USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,766.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernesto Neto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 60,299.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernesto Neto erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit TorçoQuadro Brown für USD 16.380,00 (€ 14.766,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernesto Neto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 60.299,08).
