Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Suspension Of Elements (A Kind Of Reassembly) by Ernesto Caivano. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,217.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernesto Caivano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV), which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 39,400.00 (€ 26,824.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suspension Of Elements (A Kind Of Reassembly) von Ernesto Caivano zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.217,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernesto Caivano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 39.400,00 (€ 26.824,62) versteigert wurde.
