Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Between Matter and Debris by Ernesto Caivano was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,320.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernesto Caivano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 39,400.00 (€ 26,824.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Between Matter and Debris von Ernesto Caivano kam im September 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.320,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernesto Caivano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.400,00 (€ 26.824,62).
