Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ernest Trova could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Fm/24" Awf #3 changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,443.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernest Trova konnte im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Fm/24" Awf #3 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.443,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
